Company Profile
company
Takaoka is one of the most traditional medical equipment manufacturers, where investments in technology and in a specialized staff have always been a priority.
We offer more than 400 products, including anesthesia devices, vaporizers, intensive care respirators, monitoring and oxygen therapy equipment, all of which with the highest quality acknowledged by the main Brazilian hospitals and by hospitals located in 40 countries throughout the world. In Brazil alone, Takaoka equipment has accumulated more than 40 million hours in surgery.
HISTORY
In 1951, Dr. Kentaro Takaoka, then a young anesthesiologist, tired of confronting the lack of adequate equipment which made practicing his profession a difficult task, decided to develop a small device capable of performing controlled artificial ventilation. That was where his journey started, aiming at obtaining an efficient instrument, elaborated with small and simple parts and “Which Would Fit In One’s Jacket Pocket.”
He tested his invention on animals for four years and, in 1955, Takaoka’s respirator was used on human beings for the first time, going into history.
Its development was acknowledged all over the world as an important contribution to the progress of anesthesia.
After two years, the decision was made to manufacture the device in larger scale. That was when K. Takaoka Indústria e Comércio Ltda was established.
Mr. Takaoka then set himself off to new challenges, developing a large line of products, including equipment and accessories for anesthesia and other medical specialties.
K. Takaoka still has the same objectives as when it was founded, in 1957: “Research and develop new technologies, contributing to the growth of Anesthesia and Medicine.”

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
• Application: Medium-complexity elective surgeries in Obstetric, Orthopedic, and Ophthalmology Centers, as well as in Plastic Surgery Clinics, among others.
• Patients: Pediatric and adult.
• Cabinet Description: Equipped with two drawers, with the upper drawer with dividers for drugs; table with a stainless steel cover; supports for extensions; trolleys equipped with locks on the front ones; and transportation handle. Upper shelf with a frontal band, stop and belt to place monitors.
• Electronic Rotameter for O2 and N2O: Scales of 0.2 to 10.0 L/min for O2 and 0.2 to 10.0 L/min for N2O. Pressure servomatic that automatically cuts the N2O flow in the absence of O2, proportional flow servomatic that ensures a minimum 25% O2 concentration, direct oxygen valve and flow control buttons with 360o protection against accidental activation. Automatic and selective scale lighting in the rotameters in use, low O2 pressure alarm, O2 and N20 manometer to monitor the networks and the inbuilt O2 and N20 pressure regulators.
• Electronic Ventilator: Volumetric/pressuremetric to assembly systems with and without CO2 absorption. Controls for maximum inhaling pressure, tidal volume, breathing rate, I/E ratio and Limit Pressure, pressure bargraph display, maximum pressure limit and peak, in addition to the numerical value for the adjusted parameters and alarm messages. 10- to 1600-ml Tidal Volume, cycled under volume or pressure. Mode: CMV/Assisted. Low compliance and leak-free circuit that allows maximum efficiency in low flows, and audiovisual disconnection, oxygen pressure and high endotracheal pressure (active), lack of electricity, and low battery alarms. Internal battery with 100 minutes of autonomy and 1000-ml interchangeable Bellows system, with the 100-ml, 350 ml, and 1600-ml ones being optional.
• Multi-agent Vaporizer: Microprocessed to use the Halothane, Enflurane, Isoflurane and Sevoflurane agents, it has an electronic display with the concentration table versus the bubbling flow that dispenses the use of the slide rule and two rotameters for bubbling flow, with scales of 5 to 350 ml for low flows and 400 to 2200 ml for high flows. Universal amber transparent bubbling chamber with a capacity for 100 ml of anesthetic agents and the unique MINI-PINOMATIC chamber exchange system with automatic identification of the agent in use.
• Valve Filter: to assemble respiratory systems with CO2 absorption. Canister with a total capacity for 750 ml or 950 g of soda lime with a simultaneous connection coaxial system for gas inlet and outlet, dismountable unidirectional inhaling and exhaling valves with transparent lids, adjustable pressure limit valve, fresh gas flow inlet connection and integrated antipollution system connection.
SANSEI ANESTHESIA DEVICE
DESCRIPTION
Perfect device for places where space is a concern and counting on the main security resources, such as the flow and pressure servomatic, among others. For Pediatric and Adult patients with low complexity, short elective surgeries.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Cabinet Description: Equipped with a box and key, supports for extensions, mobile trolley with locks on the front ones and a handle for transportation; Upper shelf with a frontal band, stop and belt to place monitors.
Electronic Rotameter for O2 and N2O: Scales of 0.2 to 8.0 L/min for O2 and 0.2 to 7.0 L/min for N2O. Pressure servomatic that automatically cuts the flow of N2O in the absence of O2, proportional flow servomatic that ensures a minimum O2 concentration of 25%, direct oxygen valve and flow control buttons with 360º protection against accidental activation. Automatic and selective scale lighting in the rotameters in use, low O2 pressure alarm, O2 and N20 manometer to monitor the networks and the inbuilt O2 and N20 pressure regulators.
Pneumatic Ventilator: Volumetric/pressuremetric to assembly open, semi-closed, and closed systems. Controls for maximum inhalation pressure, tidal volume, breathing frequency and I/E ratio. Audiovisual low endotracheal pressure and disconnection alarm, alarm test button and interchangeable 1000-ml bellows, with the 350- and 1600-ml ones optional.
Multi-agent Vaporizer: For Halothane, Enflurane, Isoflurane and Sevoflurane, the device has the DILUMATIC system that prevents anesthesia agents from being supplied without the total flow being open in the rotameter block, resulting in great safety at the vaporizer. The device has a pin to indicate the selected anesthetic agent, a PINOMATIC system that allows for easy exchange among the multiagent and gauged vaporizers and MINI-PINOMATIC system to interchange among chambers.
Valve Filter: to assemble respiratory systems with CO2 absorption. Canister with a total capacity for 750 ml of soda lime with a simultaneous connection coaxial system for gas inlet and outlet, dismountable unidirectional inhaling and exhaling valves with transparent lids, fresh gas flow inlet connection, integrated antipollution system connection, adjustable pressure limit valve and water manometer to monitor the inhalation pressure.
